Red face How to bypass the screen lockout feature????

Hi there, new to this site. New Droid Charge, and my first Smart phone. Anyway, I have went through all the basic phone settings and cant seem to find option to bypass the finger swipe, or 4 digit code entry to access phone options. I did try "mylock", a app that actually keys in your code, but my screen started to flicker a little, did work, but deleted app, looked painful. LOL.

Also, when a text or call comes in , the phone stays in sleep mode or whatever. I would think that a smart phone would turn on momentarily, or come out of sleep mode for a brief amount of time.

Its probably me, I hope!! Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

are you looking to remove the password input or have no screen swipe all together? the screen swipe (or puzzle fit) is a staple on all touch screen phones to prevent "pocket dialing". in any event, your phone's screen should appear when receiving a call, but not for a text message. you can enable your notification sounds for text messaging so that you know when you get one.

to change your lock screen settings, go to settings -> Location & Security -> set screen lock

not sure if this is what you were looking for, but hope it helps.

also, found this from another forum:

Go to Dialer and enter *#83786633, then press the home key
Go back into the Dialer, clear those numbers, then *#22745927
Now a screen will appear asking for the SPC Code, enter 000000
Press the Hiddenmenu Enable radio button, then press home button

To disable the lock screen (and power down pop up), go back into the Dialer and use the code *#7594#, select Shutdown and press the Home button. This, I have confirmed, does work on the Charge.

There is also the option to disable the full battery pop up, but I'm not sure if it actually works or not (I'll be able to find out later tonight). *#3844228#. It allows you to disable it, but the option never actually worked on my Fascinate, so I don't know if it will work on the Charge.

Welcome to the site. I have no more input for the lockscreen but there are a couple of other apps out there to take control of this if you don't like the stock one. Jco covered everything goes for you.
